A conversation with my dad during our yamcha

well, back to mlk as i'm helping my mum to do her business as this time was doing an express to let the customers get their product at home..

as i teman my dad going out...after tat i planned to go mamak to eat roti canai at BUKIT BARU as we havnt been going out yamcha for quite a long time...

so...we were having a good conversation as i wanted to blog it out

it's all started tat i curious whether is it good for me to study business in accounting as i'm having A BIG interest in IT and electronic stuff....YA...i'm a IT FREAK!!

so the conversation start like this:

ME : i'm very curious whether i making a right choice to study accounting or not

DAD: y u say like this? i thought u wanna do biz?

ME : ya, but i got BIG interest in IT and electronic stuff...and i wanted to do biz...as i think
biz is more realistic.

DAD: then ok la....since u think u wan to biz at the 1st time.

ME : but still like...feel like i might regret or something...

DAD: aiya...to tell u the truth, business this thing is very very very wide, everywhere and everything is can earn money, is depends on u how u gonna earn it.

ME : o??

DAD: u have a lot of interest in IT stuff is an extra knowledge for u..is a good thing...and in the future, do u still think IT can earn money??

ME : i think so, i mean after i graduate is still a big opportunities in IT world

DAD: ok, let's say for example, the reason of businessman doing business is earn money rite??

ME : YA!!

DAD: so do u agree tat business is kinda SITUATIONAL?? as for example, when a business is can earn money, so i can b do....if cant earn money or having loss, is the time to stop rite??

ME : YA....

DAD: ok, so now a lot of IT company is earning money, if in the future u create a brand new IT stuff... do u think u can fight them back as u follow the same path like them last time??

ME : no...er...

DAD: yup, tat's right, so the most important thing now is get ur knowledge from every part of things...like u hav IT and electronic stuff knowledge, sometimes it's help u...

ME : but feeling kinda lost when ppl r asking a question tat u cant answer..

DAD: come on.... u r not a profesionalism...everyone is not perfect...tat's y business has a professional skill on MANAGEMENT!!!

ME : HUH??

DAD: as a businessman, u need to know a little bit on almost every knowledge...cos mostly businessman only know the "skin or fur" of the things, but not the "HEART" of the things..let's say for example, u very good in basketball rite?

ME : ya...does it matter??

DAD: if got one boss is interested to do business with u in the future and he invited u to play goft and he wanted to share things with u, Unfortunately u dunno how to play golf.. n u reject him and lost the opportunity..rite?

ME : ya...

DAD: so let's say in different way, if u noe a little bit on golf and u play with him. although u lost but he still think u r different to others.

ME : ooo...so u mean tat i have more opportunity to meet him and share with him?

DAD: ya...ok...like's say another example, ME and ur MUM..

ME : OOO???

DAD: ur dad hav been graduate from professionalism as an electronic Engineers and me had been working for almost 25 years and lastly come out to b my own boss when i'm 50 years old as the business is still in electronic area...

ME : oooo?

DAD: if ur dad hav more interest to know all the knowledge, ur dad might b a businessman and wont b working at those days...if u ask me in electronic part, i can tell anything as this is one of my professional...but in certain part like account, medicine, or branded things....i dunno anything..so i still keep learning to know all the knowledge..

ME : O_O......

DAD: and as ur MUM...u open chinese herbal shop, she got a knowledge of medicine and cure...she noe how to cook as sometimes she even teach customers how to cook a nice soup with the chinese herbal...rite??

ME : TRUE!!

DAD: tat's y is no harm to knowing a lot of things and is alrite as u dunno all the parts in one thing...as u r not a professionalism..

ME : ok.....so dad, u mean tat business is situational rite?? so which mean i need to hav a "sense" tat can let me noe the situation rite??

DAD: true..

ME : then how to train the "sense" ?

DAD: KNOWLEDGE will help u!!

ME : har?? -_-""

DAD: u cant be good by just doing ntg rite?? so do gain knowledge...u oso need something tat is very important tat i think u always heard me tell u one.

ME : ya...i noe "DISCIPLINE" ma....

DAD: ya , i noe u knew it...but did u hav the DISCIPLINE??

so...it's really like shock me after listen to this, as....i think i hav zero discipline....
and i'm totally agree wat my dad said to me at the mamak stall....

and i'm so glad i hav u!!! dad!!!
